The band have dubbed their music as "blastcore.""Mumakil" is taken from the Lord of the Rings and is of the Speech of Men of the East, 
allies of Sauron. It's a plural word for the oliphaunts. 
Pronounce "moom-a-keel," they were gigantic Elephant-like multi-tusked behemoths 
which struck fear into the hearts of those they faced 
and which were used as such in the battle of the Pelennor Fields.

The band have recently inked a deal with the Canadian label Caustic Rhythms 
who will re-release "Customized Warfare" in the US & Canada. 
It's not clear at this time whether they will be the bands main label 
though as Mumakil have been searching for a new label recently. 
As of July 29, 2008, Mumakil has signed to Relapse Records.

Band menyebut music-nya "Blastcore".
Nama "Mumakil" diambil dari cerita Lord Of The Ring yang berarti Manusia Timur,
rekan dari Sauron. Juga berarti kawanan oliphaunts.
Di-eja "moom-a-keel", mereka adalah makhluk raksasa menyerupai gajah bergading banyak
seperti Behemoths yang dapat menimbulkan rasa ngeri pada siapapun yang melihatnya
dan digunakan dalam perang di padang Pelennor.

Band, baru-baru ini menanda-tangani kesepakatan dengan label dari Canada, Caustic Rhythms
yang akan merilis "Customize Warfare" di Amerika dan Canada.
Belum jelas apakah mereka akan menjadi Band utama di Label, karena Mumakil pun 
sedang mencari Label baru. Pada 29 July, 2008, Mumakil dikontrak oleh Relapse Records.
